Manufactured of tool steel, then hardened and finished in black oxide, this massive clutch assembly works on the centrifugal principle, i.e. when the RPMs get high enough the shoes extend and contact the clutch lining material of the clutch bell.  Thus, power is transfered from the engine to the main shaft.  This clutch is used in both the Tiger 50 and the Pantera 50 helicopter models.

The unit is so strong it's also used in the BBC (Big Block Conversion) kit for the Pantera.  For example, we've had a Pantera flying around with OS61SX since 2005 with no failures.  Furthermore, since 2007 we've had a YS91SR installed in a Pantera as well.  This huge clutch easily handles the incredible torque delivery with no fuss, no muss, no bother, i.e. absolutely no signs of distress!
